Existence of 'Super Habitable' Exoplanets are possible: suggests a new Study

A new study suggests:Planets exhibiting environmental conditions much favourable for life than on Earth are possible:

A new paper published recently in the journal Astrobiology argues that the existence of planetary bodies outside the SHZ (stellar habitable zone) is possible. 

What is the Stellar Habitable Zone ?

The Stellar Habitable Zone, as defined by Redorbit, is the zone, also known as Goldilocks Zone, is considered the range of ideal orbital distances from a star for creating the conditions necessary for life. 

What were the Claims ?


The claims say that there are exo-planets that support habitable conditions to support life can exist and the conditions will be more favourable than those founded here on Earth.

The authors suggest that orbital and rotational energy released as heat in the crust of planetary bodies, also known as tidal heating, can create conditions in which life could emerge on a planet or moon once considered uninhabitable.

“A great place for hydrothermal microorganisms and a volcanic eruption in the weather forecast every morning and evening, a tidally heated planet would be unpleasant though spectacular to visit,” said Norman Sleep, an editor for Astrobiology and earth sciences professor at Stanford University.

In the paper, René Heller from McMaster University in Canada and John Armstrong from Weber State University in Utah posited that every habitable world does not need to be situated in the SHZ and worlds in the SHZ are not necessarily habitable.

Researchers say Facebook may sweep out as a Disease

Now that's a  statement - "Facebook may fade out as Disease"

The US researchers are saying that Facebook is like an infectioius disease, experiencing a spike before its decline, claiming that the social networking site may lose it's 80% users by the year 2017. 

From the Princeton University, two doctoral candidates  in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering published their boggling claims in an online paper at a scientific research archive. Yet the publishings haven't been peer previewed.  

The two Josh Spechler and John Cannarella are saying that Facebook, the social giant in the History, may become a history, fading out like a disease.  "Ideas, like diseases, have been shown to spread infectiously between people before eventually dying out, and have been successfully described with epidemiological models," they wrote.

They applied a modified epidemiological model to describe the dynamics of user activity of online social networks, using Google data that is publicly available.

It will make uncomfortable reading for the social media giant co-founded by Mark Zuckerberg, which has more than 1.1 billion users around the globe and turns 10 years old next month.

Well, lets hope, that the prophecy may not be true, or I will have to add a RIP label instead of Facebook.....

Microsoft Blog got Hacked by the Syrian Electronics Army

The Syrian Electronics Army   has declared that it hacked into the Microsoft's official blog.
The announcement was only made after a few hours after the blog was redesigned.

The SEA posted snapshots of what were some of the taunting tweets that they posted on the blog on their site. That's a shame for Microsoft... They also posted a tweet saying "changing the CMS will not help you if your employees are hacked and they don’t know about that," as reported by The Verge.

The group posted an article namely 'Hacked by the Syrian Electronics Army'. The article has been removed yet can be founded over the Google. 

Microsoft confirmed the security breach and stated that "A targeted cyberattack temporarily affected the Microsoft Office blog. The account was quickly reset and we can confirm that no customer information was compromised".

More details from a Microsoft representative reveal the most recent attack was infiltrated by means of phishing. “A social engineering cyberattack method known as phishing resulted in a small number of Microsoft employee social media and email accounts being impacted,” a Microsoft representative said Thursday via email. “These accounts were reset and no customer information was compromised. We continue to take a number of actions to protect our employees and accounts against this industry-wide issue.”



What is the SEA?

The SEA as defined by Wikipedia.com  is The Syrian Electronic Army (SEA), also known as the Syrian Electronic Soldiers, is a collection of computer hackers who support the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Using denial of service attacks, defacement, and other methods, it mainly targets political opposition groups and western websites, including news organizations and human rights groups. The Syrian Electronic Army is the first public, virtual army in the Arab world to openly launch cyber attacks on its opponents, though the precise nature of its relationship with the Syrian government is unclear.

We Indians have potential !!!

We are the new age Indians. We are the ones who are now placing India on the Digital map. The three reasons why I say this:

#1. Facebook Bought Indian Startup:

Little Eyes Labs, an Indian Bangalore-based start-up developing mobile apps was brought by Facebook, the Social Networking Giant.

Facebook bought the LEL  for better mobile apps. 

Little Eyes Labs specializes at developing performance analysis and monitoring tools for Androi devices. The LEL was founded in August 2013 by a team of seven.

This acquisition marked the first acquisition of Facebook in India. The financial details were not disclosed by the startup, but other sources say it was bought up for less than $1.5 million.

#2. After a month, Google Brought Indian Startup:

Google, the Web giant, currently owning the world's best Search-engine and a Web-browser, android apps, e-mail, Blogging platform, etc. etc. bought another Bangalore-based 3 year old Indian startup Impermium. Founded by 2 namely  Vish Ramarao and Naveen Jamal with a third co-founder Mark Risher.

Having offices in Bangalore and California, this team specialises in developing Online Security solutions for websites and webpages. All the three founders previously worked for Yahoo. After Yahoo, the three met and founded Impermium.

Impermium already had $9 million funding in it by big co.s such as  AoL technoloies, Accel partners, etc.

The deal money have yet not been disclosed.

#3. Google Exec. Chairman says the next Google is India:

Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman once said that  seeing the Indian innovations in Internet Entrepreneurship it is possible that the next Google will be an Indian. 

A few months back, The Times Of India, that 40% of the Silicon Valley is soon to be occupied by Indians and that the Indians have already began to replace the domination of American IT employees and there is a rapid rise in the percentage of  Indian employees in the IT sector worldwide.

Hell man!!!!!!!!!! I am proud to be an Indian.

The latest leaks from the Wistleblower 'Snowden' show that the NSA(National Spying Agency) collects nearly 200 million twxt messsages and phone calls a day over the network and even took out the credit card numbers and secured passwords of the populatuion worldwide.

Does that scare you, well I got because our privacies are not private at all. Now you wont need to.

The Solution :

Introducing the 'Blackphone'. 
Being developed by US company Silent Circle and a Spanish handset maker Geeksphone, this "snoop-resistant" phone will be able to send and recieve encrypted messages and calls. 

It is being described by the developers as "the world's first smartphone to put privacy and control ahead of everything else."

The Tech:

Blackphone will be sending and receiving encrypted text, voice calls, data and everything else using the cryptography(a technique to mask and encrypt data, and communications). 


What does the Developers say :

It's not to serve some other business model of monetising customer data."



Even though some details haven't been made clear yet such as what will be the price of this phone, what will be the other specs of this phone, do you need two blackphones to send and recieve encrypted communications. 

Surgeon Operates Surgery wearing Google Glasses

A surgeon at the Lifeline Hospital, Chennai, India, did a simple upper gastro-intestinal laparoscopy procedure on a 45-year old man and a simple Hernia on a 42-year old woman.

The surgery was live-streamed on Tuesday (7-01-14) the operations to medical students, who saw it on their screens two blocks away.

"It felt like I was glancing at my rearview mirror while driving. I was focusing on the surgeries and talking to my students at the same time. At one point, I stopped feeling it was an external device," said Dr J S Rajkumar, chief surgeon of the hospital.

Jet Fighter With 3-D Printed Parts Successful

The Royal Air Force (RAF) have test flown a Tornado jet . The Jet had 3-D printed parts for the first time.

BAE- the British defence systems & arms giant fitted a tornado jet with 3-D printed parts. It was successfully test flown at an airfield in Warton, Lancashire.
           
The RAF, on monday said using 3-D printer technology to produce parts will not only cut down the production cost but also "greatly" reduce the maintenance cost of the machines.
RAF also quoted that this tech may also cut down the service bills by nearly £1.2 million (pound) over 4 years.  This tech also ensured that some parts could be as cheap as less than £100.
   Sources say that the engineers at BAE have also started producing "3-D printed" parts for 4 squadrons of Tornado GR4 aircraft.

World's First Transparent screen tab revealed

It has been long rumoured that Apple is working on an i-Phone with a laser screen , or at least with a Transparent screen ,  Well , Screw It !

Grippiti , an Israelian Technological Company , has reportedly launched the world's first transparent screen Tablet with 'Dual-Screen' .

 The Tab Whose semi-transparent screen can be operated from either side has a screen resolution of 800*480 pixels and is scheduled to be launched in October , this Year .
  According to Discovery News , The Tab wil be running Android 4.2.2 (Jelly-Bean) and 4.3 (Kit-Kat) .
It will feature a Cortex A8 processor with 4 GB onboard memory which will be expendable upto 32 GB.
It supoorts both Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity . The attractive note being it will supprt IR blaster , meaning that it can be used as a Remote control .
Grippity creator Jacob Eichbaum claimed that the tablet's partially translucent display makes it easier for users to type via a touchscreen keyboard and since both panels support touch, all 10 fingers can be used to type rather than just two.
The price for The Grippity Tablet is not clear but it is being said that the buyers would be paying $285 or
INR 14,500 approx. for Pre-Booking .
It is also being said that Samsung has also patented the Transparent and the dual screen tech .
