What Are Backlinks ?

Many a times a Blogger post a link in his/her Blog . We may have also enabled Backlinks in our posts , but we might not know what are Backlinks . Here is the description :

Backlinks, also known as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links, are incoming links to a website or web page. In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web node.[1]
Inbound links were originally important (before the emergence of search engines) as a primary means of web navigation; today, their significance lies in search engine optimization (SEO). The number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page (for example, this is used by Google to determine the PageRank of a webpage). Outside of SEO, the backlinks of a webpage may be of significant personal, cultural or semantic interest: they indicate who is paying attention to that page.

A CHinese MAn Broke His Brand new Maserati

A Chinese man Smashed his Newly brought Maserati which cost  $4,23000 USD at @ China Auto Show only

because the dealer sold the CARS with used parts .

A man in China hired three people to destroy his Maserati -- worth almost half a million dollars -- because he was angry with the car dealer.
The owner, identified only as Wang, paid the men to trash the $423,000 Maserati Quattroporte at the Qingdao International Auto Show on Tuesday. According to Car News China, Wang claimed the dealer had replaced faulty parts in his vehicle with used parts; he also accused both the dealer and an insurance company of fraud.
The men hired to decimate the Maserati used sledgehammers to batter the windows and body. They wrecked the flashy vehicle in front of hordes of press and bystanders gathered outside the Auto Show.
"I hope foreign luxury car producers acknowledge clearly that Chinese consumers are entitled to get the service that is commensurate with the brand," Wang told the Qingdao Morning Post, according to Agence France-Presse.
Maserati, an Italian manufacturer, is one of several luxury car brands that have become popular in China since the country overtook the U.S. as the world's largest auto market in 2009. Maserati China told the AFP that Maserati and the Qingdao-based dealer had responded to Wang's complaint.
"We deeply regret that the customer decided to terminate bilateral talks in such a sudden manner," a representative said in a statement.
A Maserati representative did not immediately respond to The Huffington Post's request for comment.
This isn't the first time a disgruntled customer's frustrations have been taken out on a high-end vehicle. In 2011, a businessman from Qingdao named Han Nan hired men to annihilate his $750,000 Lamborghini.
He was reportedly fed up with a mechanic who couldn't fix an engine problem, so he decided  to have the car smashed in front of a crowd on World Consumer Rights Day.

New Techique Founded To Stop Malayria

Malyria is a Mosquito-Borne Disease caused by the multplication of Plasmodium , a protozoan parasite found in the Saliva of Mosquitoes .
Dr. Ed Tate , Prof. of the Chemical Dept. at The Imperial College  London , who led the team with others has finded a new way to Stop MAlyriaAccording to a latest report, the scientists have recently discovered about a new malaria treatment. This treatment can be done by stopping malaria parasites from multiplying.
These new findings have been published in Nature Chemistry .
The study reveals that the scientists are now able to block the activity of an enzyme called NMT in the most common malaria parasite. This new technique has prevented mice from showing symptoms and has also extended their lifespan.
It has been confessed by a team of scientists that they are working harder to design molecules that target NMT more effectively as well as potently.
The researchers are hoping to start the clinical trials of the same within four years from now.
Dr. Ed siad  "The drug situation for malaria is becoming very serious. Resistance is emerging fast and it's going to be a huge problem in the future".

Taking Care of Your Skin

It is Important for us to take care of our skin .
Here are a few "Home Made"  tips :

1. Rub a lemon half gently over your face and any other areas you'd like to lighten. Let the juice sit until dry, then rinse off with warm water. Avoid the sun when doing this treatment!

2. Take 1tsp (5mL) of milk and 1 tsp (5mL) of honey. Mix them together and massage into your face. Use nonfat milk for oily skin, and whole milk or cream for dry skin.

3. Grind 1/2 cup (120mL) of dry azuki beans to a coarse flour consistency. Then pour about 2 teaspoons (10mL) of the mixture into the palm of your hand. Add water to make a paste, and massage gently into your face. Store remaining powder in a plastic bag

Homemade Masks :

1. Combine one teaspoon (5mL) of turmeric and three tablespoons (45mL) of lime to make a mask. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water. This will stain clothing, so be careful!

2. Beat an egg white until frothy, then apply to your face. When it dries, throughly wash off. Do not use this mask on broken skin!

3. Mix 2 tablespoons (30mL) of honey with two tablespoons (30mL) plain yogurt. Leave it on your face for about 20 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.

4. Mash one soft avocado with one cooked carrot. Add a half cup (120mL) of heavy cream, 1 egg and a dab of honey. Spread over your face and neck, and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing off with cool water.

My India : Rat Temple

People at the Karni Mata Temple , Deshnok, 30km from Bikaner  , feed and worship rats .
The temple is home to over 20,000 rats,
Many people around world , also come to see this unique temple . The rats are absolutely everywhere, from the door handles to the grills to the ledges around the side of the marble constructs. They can be seen in dozens crowded around pots of milk, coconut shells and various other foodstuffs that are scattered across the the temple. One must tread with utmost caution not to squish one under the feet.

The legend goes that Karni Mata, a mystic matriarch from the 14th century, was an incarnation of Durga, the goddess of power and victory. At some point during her life, the child of one of her clansmen died. She attempted to bring the child back to life, only to be told by Yama, the god of death, that he had already been reincarnated. Karni Mata cut a deal with Yama: From that point forward, all of her tribes people would be reborn as rats until they could be born back into the clan. In Hinduism, death marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one on the path to a soul's eventual oneness with the universe. This cycle of transmigration is known as samsara and is precisely why Karni Mata's rats are treated like royalty.

It is regarded auspicious, if a rat runs across one's feet, and especially holy if a white rat is seen. The white rats are believed to be the manifestations of Karni Mata herself and her four sons. Visitors put in extensive efforts to bring them forth, offering prasad, a sweet holy food. It is estimated that there are only about 10 or less such rats living in the temple.
Eating food that has been nibbled on by the rats is considered to be a blessing. Visitors often eat sweets and drink milk that has been tasted by the rats. Surprisingly, there has been no incidence of plague in the past which is deemed a miracle of Karni Mata. Strange enough, the rats themselves suffer from various ailments such as stomach disorder and diabetes, thanks to the unhealthy diet of sweets and milk, and every few years a rat epidemic decimates the population, but it soon grows back to its original hefty size.
“There were many [dead rodents] in the stages of rigor mortis, hanging from ledges or lying around the temple pillars or just lying in the middle of the temple with their paws pointed heavenwards”, writes one reviewer for Epinion. “Bring socks” - is her advice.

Can a Zombie Outbreak Really Happen ?

Take for human corpses to rise up and hunt the living? We often think zombies are scientifically impossible — but actually, they're just very implausible. Here's one wayThe Walking Dead could happen in real life.
To start our zombie thought experiment, we need to make some basic assumptions. First, we're ignoring all supernatural zombie origins. We're also going to set aside space radiation, mysterious comets, or Russian satellites. Our focus will be narrowed to biological origins –- a zombie contagion. Of course, there are many different zombie scenarios in books and film, and no one theory is going to cover all of them perfectly.
The first aspect of human zombification we need to tackle is basic zombie physiology. In virtually every zombie scenario, zombies are able to function despite increasing levels of physical deterioration due to injury or decomposition. There has to be some mechanism for transmitting neural impulses from the brain to various body parts, and for providing energy to muscles so they can keep operating.
The most common science fictional explanation for zombie outbreaks is a virus — but viruses and bacterial infections are not known for building large new physical structures within the body. So let's count viruses out. Instead, the need for a mechanism to activate deteriorating body parts actually provides the cornerstone of what is, in my opinion, the strongest theory: fungal infection.
How a Zombie Outbreak Could Happen in Real Life
We know that fungi can infect humans. We also know that fungal networks exist in most of the world's forests. These mycorrhizal networks have a symbiotic relationship with trees and other plants in the forest, exchanging nutrients for mutual benefit. These networks can be quite large, and there are studies that demonstrate the potential for chemical signals to be transmitted from one plant to another via the mycorrhizal network. That, in turn, means that fungal filaments could perform both vascular and neural functions within a corpse.
This leads us to the following scenario: microscopic spores are inhaled, ingested, or transmitted via zombie bite. The spores are eventually dispersed throughout the body via the bloodstream. Then they lie dormant. When the host dies, chemical signals (or, more accurately, the absence of chemical signals) within the body that occur upon death trigger the spores to activate, and begin growing. The ensuing fungal network carries nutrients to muscles in the absence of respiration or normal metabolism.
Part of the fungal network grows within the brain, where it interfaces with the medulla and cerebellum, as well as parts of the brain involving vision, hearing and possibly scent. Chemicals released by the fungi activate basic responses within these brain areas. The fungi/brain interface is able to convert the electrochemical signals of neurons into chemical signals that can be transmitted along the fungal network that extends through much of the body. This signal method is slow and imperfect, which results in the uncoordinated movements of zombies. And this reliance on the host's brain accounts for the "headshot" phenomenon, in which grievous wounds to the brain or spine seem to render zombies fully inert.
How a Zombie Outbreak Could Happen in Real Life
This leaves the problem of zombie metabolism. Where do the zombies get the nutrients needed to perform physical activity, plus the necessary nutrients to fuel the life-cycle of the fungi? This is most easily explained by the zombies' constant, endless drive to devour meat. The fungal network would still need some way to metabolize meat, and zombies seem to be able to function even in the absence of a human digestive system.
It is possible that this particular fungi has evolved a means to extract energy and nutrients from meat in a similar manner to carnivorous plants. The ingestion of meat may actually be vestigial, an unintended result of the drive to bite. In this case, the fungi may draw energy from the decomposition of the host's own organic material, which effectively puts a shelf-life on zombies (in addition to the deterioration of body structures beyond the point where the fungal network can compensate).
Accounts of dismembered parts moving purposefully may be apocryphal.
Now we have established a working theory for fungal zombies. How could such a disease arise? The goal of any biological organism is to live long enough to reproduce, but many pathogens are self-limited by their own lethality. The host dies before it has a chance to spread the pathogen inadvertently. This gives us two pathways for development of the zombie fungus. First, a fungal species existed that used the digestive tracts of mammals to travel. In other words, animals ingested the fungus, including spores. The spores were later defecated out in a new location. Some mutations occurred that caused the spores to gestate while still within the host. However, in most cases, the host's immune system would destroy the fungus. Further mutations could lead to spores that only trigger once the host has died, avoiding this problem.
Another possibility is a fungal infection that was highly aggressive and caused rapid death within the host. That strain was not able to successfully reproduce as often as a mutated strain that delayed activation until post-mortem.
Of course, it's one thing for a fungus to activate after the host dies, and quite another for the dead host to stand up and start attacking things. There are many evolutionary steps in between, which is why a zoonotic origin seems likely.
The precursor fungus could have been ingested by pigs, which are omnivorous. Captive pig populations, subject to overcrowding, would have been perfect places for the fungus to spread and mutate. In some poorly managed pig farms, dead pigs may have gone unnoticed, allowing post-mortem development of the fungus. Dead pigs were likely partially eaten by their living counterparts, allowing the fungal strains with post-mortem mutations to spread back into the population. The method of transfer from the pig population to the human population seems fairly obvious.
The evolution of fully mobile dead pigs probably started with a simple bite reflex that could transmit spores to nearby pigs. A bite combined with a muscular spasm, a sort of lunge, would work even better. After many generations, this developed into full post-mortem mobility. Thus, a dead host went from a drawback to an advantage, becoming a mobile platform for spore distribution. In fact, the zombie hunger drive may have originated as a spore distribution method –- only later was the ability to metabolize meat acquired. We can extrapolate this development to assume the further refinement of the fungal neural system, allowing for zombies which are far more coordinated and can run at nearly full speed.
While this type of behavior modification may seem unlikely, there is precedent for it within the animal world. Several species of parasitic wasps are able to reprogram the behavioral patterns of their hosts (bees, ants and even caterpillars), creating complex new behaviors beneficial to the wasp and detrimental to the host. While the hosts in these cases aren't dead, this does demonstrate that complex chemical overrides can evolve in nature.
Hopefully scientists can develop an effective zombie fungicide in time.

Science 101 : 5 dream facts ?

1. DREAM LOGIC IS NEUROLOGICALLY LOGICAL

Your brain’s activity looks very different when you’re asleep, which sheds some light on the nature of dreams. For starters, your primary visual cortex is out of commission during sleep (because your eyes are closed), but your secondary visual cortex (which normally interprets outside visual stimuli) is still going at it, trying to make sense of the images the rest of your brain is conjuring up.
Your limbic system (hippocampus and fornix––the wormy tangle all up in the middle of your brain) is the primary control center for your emotions, and it becomes especially active during your dreams. This explains why dreams are so emotionally charged, and often deal with feelings of imminent danger. Meanwhile, the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, which controls logic and rationality, is practically dormant, which explains why you can dream yourself marrying Hugh Griffith in an cosmonaut suit and be like, “Can we have the guests throw sand instead of Cracker Jacks, Hughie? Birds tend to choke on the prizes.”

2. YOU ALSO DREAM DURING “NON-REM” SLEEP

By now everyone knows that we categorize human sleep in five stages: some deep stages with boring number-names, and REM, famously responsible for dream time. Au contraire! More recent research indicates that dreaming also occurs during non-REM sleep (slyly abbreviated as NREM). REM sleep is the stage closest to waking, though, so you’re more likely to remember REM dreams than those in NREM.
Since each sleep stage represents different brain activity, different stages will result in different types of dreams. During REM sleep, for instance, people typically report interacting with two to three characters outside of themselves––usually people they know in waking life––while NREM may host more characters, more of whom are strangers. At the same time, the dreamer more often initiates socially aggressive interactions in REM sleep, while NREM hosts friendlier social initiations. Makes it hard not to read a “don’t you dare wake me up” subtext into those REM dreams...

3. PAIN CAN SHOW UP IN DREAMS

While it’s never been proven that dreams themselves can produce pain, a few studies have suggested that real-world pain can incorporate into dreams. In one study, a lab-induced “pins and needles” sensation manifested as a problematic shoe-fitting in the subject’s dream, while more intense pain (like that experienced by healing burn victims in a 2002 study) can produce nightmares wherein the dreamer tries to escape the source of their pain, literally and metaphorically. In short, pain transcends the barrier between waking and dreaming life, and shows up in our dreams relatively untransformed.

4. DREAMS HELP YOU LEARN

You’ve heard the term “Let me sleep on it,” from Meat Loaf and others, and it’s a good idea, scientifically speaking. That’s because your brain can teach itself while you sleep, thanks to a process Harvard neuroscience professor Robert Stickgold calls off-line memory reprocessing.
In his series of experiments, Stickgold had subjects perform simple tasks like recognizing words or hitting a digital target, and compared their progress with their sleep patterns. The logic is this: Any time you make a memory, that new information has to transfer between several different parts of your brain in order to stick around for awhile, and those same patterns correspond with the patterns of brain activity during sleep. Sure enough, subjects who slept on their lessons showed greater improvement. In his Tetris experiment, Stickgold’s subjects even reported dreaming about Tetris as the learning period went on, indicating a connection between the need to improve, dreams, and post-dream improvement.

5. DREAMS DO AFFECT YOUR MOOD

You probably already knew this: The tone of a dream can set the tone of the following morning, for better or worse. But there’s more to it than that. “Daytime mood and social interactions” have been found to correlate with dream details––although universal patterns across dreams are almost impossible to quantify reliably. Details as seemingly arbitrary as the number of characters the dreamer encounters may have more to do with the person’s actual sleep patterns than actual dream content (see bullet #2). But as in Stickgold’s memory experiments, dreaming about stuff that’s bothering you can help the brain process during sleep what you might not be thrilled to process during the day (see bullet #5). In short: Dream on, little dreamer. It’s good for ya.

Science 101 : Why Are Bubbles Round ?

Bubbles are round due to their Property Of Surface Tension .
Now , What is Surface Tension ?
Liquids tend to Minimize their Surface Area . And the Molecules of the outer layer stick with each other and form a Surface . The molecules on the surface experience a net downward force . Therefore . liquids tend to have minimum no. of molecule on their surface . Water droplets are not round due to the influence of Gravity . But in Space , the water , or any liquids droplets are round due to Zero Gravity .
It is due to the Surface Tension , that a needle may Float on water .

Ten Facts About Our Solar System we May not Know

The Solar System Has Many Hidden & Fascinating Facts That We May Not have Known :

10 ) The hottest planet isn’t closest to the sun
Many people know that Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, well less than half of the Earth’s distance. It is no mystery, therefore, why people would assume that Mercury is the hottest planet. We know that Venus, the second planet away from the sun, is on the average 30 million miles farther from the sun than Mercury. The natural assumption is that being farther away, it must be cooler. But assumptions can be dangerous. For practical consideration, Mercury has no atmosphere, no warming blanket to help it maintain the sun’s heat. Venus, on the other hand, is shrouded by an unexpectedly thick atmosphere, about 100 times thicker than our own on Earth. This in itself would normally serve to prevent some of the sun’s energy from escaping back into space and thus raise the overall temperature of the planet. But in addition to the atmosphere’s thickness, it is composed almost entirely of carbon dioxide, a potent greenhouse gas. The carbon dioxide freely lets solar energy in, but is far less transparent to the longer wavelength radiation emitted by the heated surface. Thus the temperature rises to a level far above what would be expected, making it the hottest planet. In fact the average temperature on Venus is about 875 degrees F, hot enough to melt tin and lead. The maximum temperature on Mercury, the planet closer to the sun, is about 800 degrees F. In addition, the lack of atmosphere causes Mercury’s surface temperature to vary by hundreds of degrees, whereas the thick mantle of carbon dioxide keeps the surface temperature of Venus steady, hardly varying at all, anywhere on the planet or any time of day or night!

9 ) Pluto is smaller than the USA
The greatest distance across the contiguous United States is nearly 2,900 miles (from Northern California to Maine). By the best current estimates, Pluto is just over 1400 miles across, less than half the width of the U.S. Certainly in size it is much smaller than any major planet, perhaps making it a bit easier to understand why a few years ago it was “demoted” from full planet status. It is now known as a “dwarf planet.”

8 ) George Lucas doesn’t know much about “Asteroid Fields”
In many science fiction movies, spacecraft are often endangered by pesky asteroid fields. In actuality, the only asteroid belt we are aware of exists between Mars and Jupiter, and although there are tens of thousands of asteroids in it (perhaps more), they are quite widely spaced and the likelihood of colliding with one is small. In fact, spacecraft must be deliberately and carefully guided to asteroids to have a chance of even photographing one. Given the presumed manner of creation, it is highly unlikely that spacefarers will ever encounter asteroid swarms or fields in deep space.

7 ) You can make volcanoes using water as magma
Mention volcanoes and everyone immediately thinks of Mount St. Helens, Mount Vesuvius, or maybe the lava caldera of Mauna Loa in Hawaii. Volcanoes require molten rock called lava (or “magma” when still underground), right? Not really. A volcano forms when an underground reservoir of a hot, fluid mineral or gas erupts onto the surface of a planet or other non-stellar astronomical body. The exact composition of the mineral can vary greatly. On Earth, most volcanoes sport lava (or magma) that has silicon, iron, magnesium, sodium, and a host of complicated minerals.

6 ) The “edge” of the Solar System is 1,000 times farther away than Pluto

5 ) Almost everything on Earth is a rare element
The elemental composition of planet Earth is mostly iron, oxygen, silicon, magnesium, sulfur, nickel, calcium, sodium, and aluminum. While such elements have been detected in locations throughout the universe, they are merely trace elements, vastly overshadowed by the much greater abundances of hydrogen and helium. Thus Earth, for the most part, is composed of rare elements.

4 ) There are Mars rocks on Earth (and we didn’t bring here)
Chemical analysis of meteorites found in Antarctica, the Sahara Desert, and elsewhere have been shown by various means to have originated on Mars. For example, some contain pockets of gas that is chemically identical to the martian atmosphere.

3 ) Jupiter has the biggest ocean of any planet
Orbiting in cold space five times farther from the sun than Earth, Jupiter retained much higher levels of hydrogen and helium when it formed than did our planet. In fact, Jupiter is mostly hydrogen and helium. Given the planet’s mass and chemical composition, physics demands that way down under the cold cloud tops, pressures rise to the point that the hydrogen must turn to liquid. In fact there should be a deep planetary ocean of liquid hydrogen. Computer models show that not only is this the largest ocean known in the solar system, but that it is about 40,000 km deep – roughly as deep as the Earth is around!

2 ) Even really small bodies can have moons
It was once thought that only objects as large as planets could have natural satellites or moons.

1 ) We live inside the sun

Normally we think of the sun as being that big, hot ball of light 93 million miles away. But actually, the sun’s outer atmosphere extends far beyond its visible surface. Our planet orbits within this tenuous atmosphere, and we see evidence of this when gusts of the solar wind generate the Northern and Southern Lights. In that sense, we definitely live “inside” the sun. But the solar atmosphere doesn’t end at Earth. Auroras have been observed on Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and even distant Neptune. In fact, the outer solar atmosphere, called the “heliosphere,” is thought to extend at least 100 A.U. That’s nearly 10 billion miles. In fact the atmosphere is likely teardrop shaped due to the sun’s motion in space, with the “tail” extending tens to hundreds of billions of miles downwind .

15 facts we Might not Know about the Human Body

The Human Body is as Fascinating as far as we can Think Of..

  • 1. The stomach’s digestive acids are strong enough to dissolve zinc. Fortunately for us, the cells in the stomach lining renew so quickly that the acids don’t have time to dissolve it.
  • 2. The lungs contain over 300,000 million capillaries (tiny blood vessels). If they were laid end to end, they would stretch 2400km (1500 miles).
  • 3. A mans testicles manufacture 10 million new sperm cells each day – enough that he could repopulate the entire planet in only 6 months!
  • 4. Human bone is as strong as granite in supporting weight. A block of bone the size of a matchbox can support 9 tonnes – that is four times as much as concrete can support.
  • 5. Each finger and toenail takes six months to grow from base to tip.
  • 6. The largest organ in the body is the skin. In an adult man it covers about 1.9m2 (20sq ft). The skin constantly flakes away – in a lifetime each person sheds around 18kg (40 lb) of skin.
  • 7. When you sleep, you grow by about 8mm (0.3in). The next day you shrink back to your former height. The reason is that your cartilage discs are squeezed like sponges by the force of gravity when you stand or sit.
  • 8The average person in the West eats 50 tonnes of food and drinks 50,000 liters (11,000 gallons) of liquid during his life.
  • 9Each kidney contains 1 million individual filters. They filter an average of around 1.3 liters (2.2 pints) of blood per minute, and expel up to 1.4 liters (2.5 pints) a day of urine.
  • 10. The focusing muscles of the eyes move around 100,000 times a day. To give your leg muscles the same workout, you would need to walk 80km (50 miles) every day.
  •  11. In 30 minutes, the average body gives off enough heat (combined) to bring a half gallon of water to boil.
  • 12. A single human blood cell takes only 60 seconds to make a complete circuit of the body.13. A foreskin, the size of a postage stamp, from circumcised babies take only 21 days to grow skin that can cover three (3) basketball courts. Amazing isn’t it. Thanks to science. The laboratory-grown skin is used in treating burn patients.
  • 14. The eyes receive approximately 90 percent of all our information, making us basically visual creatures .
  • 15. The female ovaries contain nearly half-a-million egg cells, yet only 400 or so will ever get the opportunity to create a new life.

The Lamborghini Huracán.

The Lamborghini Gallardo has soldiered valiantly for the last several years of its decade-long run, with special edition upon special edition making the very most out of its now aged platform. But the Gallardo's time has come. A new Lamborghini has arrived.
The Huracán.

To be precise, it's the Huracán LP 610-4. As you suspect, the 610 references the car's horsepower, though as usual, it's metric, so the American horsepower figure is closer to 600. Nevertheless, the 5.2-liter V-10 that produces the power, which arrives at a screaming 8,250 rpm, now benefits from direct fuel injection and also generates 480 pound-feet of torque.
In the Huracán's 3,140-pound chassis, that 600-horsepower V-10 is, as predicted, matched to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and capable of accelerating you to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds--a figure that's likely to brush against the 3.0-second mark in the real world when the measure is 60 mph. Keeping your foot to the floor, 124 mph arrives in 9.9 seconds, and, if you have the nerves--and the nearly limitless closed course--for it, the Huracán will carry on to a top speed of more than 202 mph.

But perhaps just as important as the Huracán's performance figures is the car's appearance. It's impossible not to see the influence of the Huracán's older, larger brother, the Aventador. But at the same time, the Huracán is clearly its own car, with proportions and details setting it apart. At any rate, it's much more closely aligned with the modern Lamborghini design image than was the Gallardo.
Up front, full LED headlamps create the illumination, and are standard equipment on every Huracán. But then, every exterior light on the new Lamborghini is LED--a first for the entire compact supercar segment, according to the company.

Inside the Huracán, you'll find a reconfigurable 12.3-inch display serving  display serving as the instrument panel, relaying everything from engine rpm to navigation directions and more. The upholstery is swathed in Nappa leather and Alcantara, wrapped around a low-slung, aircraft-like layout that mirrors the Aventador's.
Comfort may be relative when you're talking about a supercar, but the Huracán offers three core modes for its driving dynamics system: Strada, Sport, and Corsa. Each mode is progressively more aggressive in its tuning of the Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox's behavior, the engine's throttle mapping, the dynamic exhaust, the four-wheel drive system, and the electronic stability control. Optional Lamborhini Dynamic Steering and magneto-rheological dampers round out the dynamic elements of the Huracán's driver interface, also adjusted by the three core dynamic settings. Carbon-ceramic brakes are standard on all Huracáns.
So what about that name, Huracán? Like all Lamborghinis of recent vintage, the Huracán is named after a Spanish fighting bull. This one is from the Conte de la Patilla line, and, according to Lamborghini, was known for his "outstanding courage and strong sense of attack." That's a sentiment we can surely get behind.
The Huracán LP 610-4 will make its global debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Shownext March, but in the meantime, Lamborghini is planning over 130 private previews of the car in 60 cities around the world.
Lamborghini will build the Huracán on a brand-new line at its Sant'Agata Bolognese plant, with the first cars reaching customers in the spring of 2014.

The Lamborghini Huracán

Lamborghini’s replacement for its aging Gallardo has finally been revealed, and it’s called the Huracán. The new supercar makes its world debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March and hits showrooms shortly after.

Acura’s new 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid

may look plain on the outside but under its skin resides one of the most advanced drivetrains currently in production. That drivetrain consists of a gasoline V-6, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and three electric motors.

MINI is out testing a new electric version of its Cooper Coupe. The test car isn’t likely to be bound for production, but rather used as a testbed for drivetrain components for MINI’s future electric cars.

You'll find all of this and more in today's car news headlines from around the High Gear Media network, right here at Motor Authority.
